KATHMANDU, MARCH 25Minister of Foreign Affairs Narayan Khadka addressed the Ministerial Meeting of the Champion Countries of the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration (GCM) held today in Rabat, Morocco, in hybrid format. He said the adoption of the GCM in 2018 was a historic milestone in the governance of international migration as it provided a comprehensive framework for international cooperation to address its multi-dimensional aspects.Khadka conveyed Nepal's willingness to engage constructively in the First International Migration Review Forum and reiterated that Nepal, as a champion country, looks forward to work with the international community for the realisation of the vision of safe, orderly, and regular migration.A version of this article appears in the print on March 26, 2022, of The Himalayan Times. .
